WHAT WE DO

Sustainable Water Treatment Solutions

Biostream delivers innovative Floating Treatment Wetland  technology, providing a sustainable, low-maintenance solution to water treatment challenges.

WHAT WE DO

Biostream specialises in implementing Floating Treatment Wetland (FTW) technology and site design in partnership with Waterclean NZ Ltd.

Water treatment needs emerge as new sites are developed, infrastructure is updated, and as environmental and social goals change. Our objective is to help clients achieve healthy water quality and to a positive impact on the environment.

Biostream provides local contact site evaluation and technical support  as the design options are considered. Technical drawings and assessment reports are provided in a clear and easy to understand format for inclusion in resource consent applications.

Design, planning, and implementation expertise is offered for planning consent, terrestrial wetland planting, and industrial rehabilitation as required. Our advice is provided in a practical and cost-effective form and timely manner.

Technical Expertise and Value Delivery

Floating Treatment Wetlands (FTWs) are adaptable, scalable and suitable for a range of application types and size. They have a proven effectiveness in removing sediments, trace elements and nutrients and are designed, tested, and manufactured for local conditions. Waterclean is the market leader in the development and application of FTW’s across New Zealand, and with current installations in local authority, commercial, public, and residential locations.

Floating Treatment Wetlands typically cost 50 percent or less compared to other solutions for similar site conditions and have very low operating costs over their 20+ year lifespan. Installations extend infrastructure life and provide a sustainable point of difference in new development and often draw high public and stakeholder approval.
